Today we’d like to introduce you to Olti Gjura.
Olti,can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born in Tirana, Albania and moved to the United States in 1995. I finished high school here and attended Northeastern University and graduated with a BA in Electrical and Computer Engineering. During college, I had the opportunity to work with major technology firms such as Cisco, GTE Internetworking, providing me with invaluable hands-on experience. In 2003, I made the decision to open my own business, a small computer repair shop in Dorchester and worked tirelessly to build my business and a strong reputation. I continued my professional development by reading, learning, and always looking to the future. I quickly realized the need for expansion of my service offerings to include business IT support and services and began working with many local businesses. Over the next 7 or so years, we expanded our services to include business and enterprise level technology consulting. My wife, Oljana, has always been my biggest supporter. She constantly pushed me to grow the company and think big.
Oljana joined the firm full-time in 2016 and together we opened our corporate office in Quincy. Since opening our corporate office, our business has continued to grow. We are so thankful for our dedicated team and exceptional clients.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Like any business, we hit obstacles all the time. My greatest challenge was running a 1-man shop back when we first opened. From servicing equipment, handling sales, and running the storefront, to handing accounting and the back office — being everything to everyone all the time was hard. Another big challenge that had a positive outcome was transitioning from a reactive service business to a proactive managed services business partner to our clients.
